About Us

Our Mission is to establish students in the eternal and inerrant Word of God for a life of faith in Jesus Christ and faithful service in His Kingdom.

From eight to noon each day, you’ll experience in-depth teaching and thought-provoking discussions centered around Scripture. With the Bible as your main textbook, you’ll learn and apply truths from the Word of God. Enjoy many Old and New Testament classes along with topics in church history, evangelism, discipleship, missions, youth ministry, and Christian service.

Outside the classroom, you’ll have endless opportunities to put what you learn into practice. Join one of the choirs or gospel teams, get involved with an inner-city ministry, or volunteer at a local congregation with kid’s club or youth group. Discover your gifts. Learn to serve Jesus.

Community life at AFLBS is Christ-centered, refreshing, and authentic. Build friendships and grow together through chapel services, evening dorm devotions, personal mentoring, and life-on-life discipleship.

Location

The Association Free Lutheran Bible School and Seminary is located on the eastern shore of Medicine Lake in Plymouth, Minnesota. Located fifteen minutes west of Downtown Minneapolis, Plymouth is its third largest suburb of Minneapolis – St. Paul, which is the sixteenth largest metropolitan area in the United States.

The Mississippi River winds through the metro. Lakes abound. Bikeways begin at the entrance to the campus and connect to a network so impressive that in 2015, Forbes ranked Minneapolis to be “the most bike-friendly city in the U.S.” Minneapolis is also the only U.S. city ranked among the world’s top cities for cyclists.

With one out of every four people in the Twin Cities either a first or second generation immigrant, it is an ideal setting to learn to share Jesus’ love with people that have come from almost every nation on earth.

The Minneapolis and St. Paul is the primary business center between Chicago and Seattle. The Twin Cities serve as a hub for the five-state area, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota. A growing job market serves the AFLBS students and seminarians well.
